A Thought For Today.....

"You know how a sunrise can be confused for a sunset?
Well sometimes just when you think your life is over, that's when the best things are truly about to begin."

A Thought For Today.....

I saw this recently...and it touched me, as I have a few friends right now trying to navigate a whole new journey after tremendous loss and pain.

Abstract Seascape Painting "Royal Wave-Study 7" by Colorado Contemporary Artist Kimberly Conrad

Kimberly Conrad Contemporary Artist "Pouring Color Into Your Life"

This is my painting for Day 2 of Leslie Saeta's challenge to paint 30 new paintings in 30 days.

I have signed up for this challenge before, and not completed it...so I am giving it another go!!:)

I paint Landscapes, Seascapes Aspens, Florals and Abstracts, but will probably paint primarily Seascapes for this challenge, as I have many color studies to do for upcoming commissions and new hotel projects.

If you are not familiar with my work, please visit one of my websites below!!

My paintings are ALL poured, I use no sketches or brushes!!

If you live in Colorado, feel free to stop into my gallery and see this lovely piece in person.

This painting is a new study for the ROYAL WAVE  series. I started the series in late 2014, and have sold most of the large paintings. I am continuing the series into 2015, but tweaking colors, so have just begun new color studies.

These color studies are done on 140 lb and 246 lb archival paper and frame beautifully.

8"x10" Poured Acrylic on 140 lb archival paper.

This little painting will fit a standard 8"x10" frame, or may be matted and framed to a larger size.
